Reset End User Password

Account Managers, Admin end users, and Limited end users who have an email address on their account can manage their own Voice Portal password. As such, an email address is required for all new Cloud PBX and Business Cloud Communications users who need access to the Voice Portal.

Reset Password via Admin Portal

Voice Portal users who have an email address on their account can click Forgot password? on the login screen, and email will be sent to them with a link to create a password. However, you can initiate the reset on the user's behalf, if needed.

  1. Go to Account > Users.
  2. Locate and select the user.
  3. In the Settings tab, click [Reset Password].
  4. An email will be sent to the user's email address with a link to create a password. Their new password must be at least 8 characters long and include at least one number and one special character (^ $ * . [ ] { } ( ) ? " ! @ # % & / \ , > < ' : ; | _ ~ ` = + -).
  5. Once their password is reset, they will be sent an additional email to confirm the change.

Forgot Password Request

Most legacy users don't have an email address on their accounts yet, which means they can't use the new password reset workflow and they're probably still using their default password.

The next time the user logs in to the Voice Portal, we'll ask them to enter their email address and reset their password. They’ll only have to do it once!

When the user clicks Forgot Password? on the login screen, or when a customer support agent clicks [Reset Password] in the Admin Portal, an email is sent to the user with a link to create a password.

2. Create Password

The user will click on the link in the email to open a webpage in which they can create their password. The new password must be 8–64 characters long and include at least one number and one special character.

3. Confirmation

Once the new password is saved, an email is sent to the user confirming that the new password was created.
