Whether you need to make a phone number private or move it to where it's easy for the public to find, the process is easily accomplished when adding a phone number or making changes to a number after it's been added to your account.
The privacy option selected here determines what, if any, information is provided to 411 or the phone book. The options are:
- List in 411 and publish in phone book
Also choose if you want to add a second name (spouse) and whether to include the street address in listings and publications. The address preview is displayed below. - List in 411 and don’t publish in phone book
Also choose whether to include the street address in listings and publications. The address preview is displayed below. - Don’t list in 411 and don’t publish in phone book
For phone numbers being ported in or added via dynamic inventory, Directory Listing is initially set to the account’s default setting. Each phone number can be modified only after activation is complete and the address is determined to be listable.
When you’re done, click [Save]. The information is sent to the carrier who sends it to their vendor who sends it to various publishers.
