Presence/BLF Feature Key

It’s nice to know if someone is available before you call them. Presence monitoring allows you to visually monitor the speed dial contacts assigned to your phone, so you can know whether or not they are on an active call. These line keys will light up (the lights being the Busy Lamp Fields, or BLF) indicating the contact's status. Lines that are setup with Presence/BLF will also act as a speed dial to the selected user.

Configure Presence/BLF Feature Key

Once Presence/BLF is enabled, the Busy Lamp Field (BLF) light or device touch screen will indicate when the user being monitored is on a call, if their phone is ringing, or if the user’s phone line is currently available.

1. Go to Account > Users > Devices tab.
2. Locate the Device you want to manage and click Edit.
3. Under Line Configuration, edit the line you want to assign the feature to. Note, Presence/BLF cannot be added to Device Line 1.
4. In the Device Line Info modal, select the following:
   • Type: Presence/BLF
   • Assignment: The user whose presence you want to monitor on this line.
5. Click [Save].
