For accounts that use the Cymbus Legacy app, follow these steps immediately after creating a new account with BCC. This step is required before users can be added to the account.
- Go to Account > Settings: General Settings.
- Enter a name in the Account Group Name field. This will be appended to the username for each Cymbus user on the account. For example: s.jane@cymbus
The Account Group Name cannot include any special characters, and it must be unique across all of Cymbus. For example, if the business you're setting up is a franchise of Jiffy Tires and another account has already set up a group name for jiffytires, you will need to use something different, like jiffytirescity.
After you type in a name and click out of the field, it will automatically validate. If the name you're using works, you will see a green checkmark. If it doesn't, the UI will let you know so you can try something else.
- Scroll down and click [Save].
Be Careful!
The Account Group Name cannot be changed once users have been set up on the account. When a user is created, their Cymbus app account is set up automatically, and changing the Account Group Name would break all of those logins.
