The SIP Credentials permission forPlatform User Groups increases the security of your account enabling you to control access to API endpoints that allow users to view and modify SIP usernames and passwords.
This setting affects the following endpoints:
- GET:https://{Environment}/v2/partition/{PartitionId}/deviceprovisioning/account/{accountId}/user/{userId}/device/{deviceId}
- GET:https://{Environment}/v2/partition/{PartitionId}/deviceprovisioning/account/{accountId}/device/{deviceId}
- GET: https://{Environment}/v2/partition/{PartitionId}/deviceprovisioning/{MACAddress}
Because these are GET calls, they affect only a user's ability to view the SIP credentials. Creating, editing, and deleting SIP credentials are accomplished through other endpoints that are not affected by this setting.
Update a Group's SIP Credentials Permissions
The SIP Credentials permission is set to View for all groups by default. We recommend that you update the setting to Hide for any group that does not need access to those endpoints.
- In the Admin Portal, go to Management > Platform Users and select the Groups tab.
- Select a group to expand its settings.
- Scroll to SIP Credentials near the bottom, then update the group's setting to Hide, View, or Edit as appropriate.
- Click [Save].
