Set up a user's account to ring multiple lines and/or phone numbers simultaneously until the call is answered or times out. Simultaneous Ring will ring all of the user's registered devices and the phone numbers added to the list. The first to answer will take the call. If the call is not answered within the Timeout period, it will follow the timeout action: Busy Tone, Forward, Ring Forever, or Send to Voicemail.
Set Up SIM Ring for Calls to a User or Account
- In the Admin Portal, go to Account > Users > Calls tab
- Scroll down to Call Handling and select the Sim Ring tab.
- Enter the phone number you want all calls to ring on. Click [Add Number] for more fields.
- Open the Timeout action menu and select what will happen to unanswered phone calls.
- In the Timeout (seconds) field, enter the number of seconds a call should ring before following the Timeout action path. Calls that ring for longer than 120 seconds are subject to carrier disconnection.
- Click [Save].
Set a SIM Ring Schedule
- Navigate to Call Handling.
- Click [Create Schedule]. If there are already schedules on the account, the button will read [Manage Schedule].
- Click [Add Schedule] to add a new one, or select an existing schedule to edit it.
- Fill out the start and end times as indicated.
- Under Call Handling, select the Sim Ring tab.
- Enter the phone number you want all calls to ring to. Click [+Add Number] for more fields.
- Open the Timeout action menu and select what will happen to unanswered phone calls.
- In the Timeout (seconds) field, enter the number of seconds a call should ring before following the Timeout action path. Calls that ring for longer than 120 seconds are subject to carrier disconnection.
- Click [Confirm] and then [Save].
