Account > Settings > Account Details
If the customer has canceled their service and no longer needs their account, it can be permanently deleted from your partition. However, to prevent the accidental disconnect of an account that is and should stay in service, all phone numbers must be removed from the account prior to deleting it.
If you only want to suspend the account temporarily, see Suspend an Account.
1. Remove Phone Numbers
To prevent the accidental disconnect of an account that is and should stay in service, all phone numbers must be removed from the account prior to deleting it.
In to the Admin Portal, go to Accounts > Phone Numbers.
Click the phone number on the left, then click [Delete] on the bottom right of the record. This will move the number into a cooldown period.
- Repeat step 2 for all phone numbers on the account.
2. Permanently Delete an Account
Once all the phone numbers are deleted, the account can be deleted.
Go to Account > Settings > Account Details.
- Scroll down to Delete Account and click [Delete].
A popup will ask you to confirm you want to delete this account. If you're sure, knowing this action is permanent, click [Delete] again to confirm.
- The account is deleted from your partition.
Warning
Deleting an account is permanent. The account cannot be restored later, so be absolutely sure this is what you want to do.
