Phone Number Management

The starting point of any phone call is the number someone dials. On the Phone Numbers page, you can view and manage all the phone numbers on the account and their routing destinations.

Go to Account > Phone Numbers to view and manage phone numbers and their routing destinations. Click the Menu Icon menu on the right to access Bulk Import Phone Numbers.

Add Phone Number(s)

To activate a new number on the account, click [+ Add Number] in the top right. Phone numbers can be ported in, added from local inventory, or added directly from carrier services partners using dynamic inventory. See Add Phone Numbers for details.

To port in a customer’s existing number, see Submit a Standard Port, toll-free numbers, submit project ports.

Phone Numbers Table

The table here lists all the phone numbers on the account. If you're looking for a particular number, use the search filters above the table to narrow the list.

Filters

  • Search. Search by phone number, destination (including user), or address (including the city, state, and postal code) associated with the customer service record or E911 record.
  • CSR type. Filter the phone numbers in the table by the type indicated on the customer service record (CSR): Company or Individual.
  • User groups. Select a user group to display only phone numbers assigned to users in that group.

  • Phone Number. Lists the phone number(s) connected to the account. Click here to edit the phone number details, including the Customer Service Record, E911 Record, and Directory Listing.
  • Type. Indicates if the phone number is a standard "ELS" (Enhanced Local Service), "toll-free", or "temporary" number.
  • Destination. Identifies where the phone number rings to: Auto-Attendant, Business Line, SIP Trunk, User, or Virtual Fax. To change the destination, click the  map icon on the right.
