Account > Settings > Account Details
The Regulatory Type field identifies the account’s regulatory status: Commercial, Government, or Residential. There is no functionality tied to this value. Rather, it is a label that will be used in the future for reporting purposes only, such as on various regulatory and/or FCC reports (for traffic and utilization).
This field can be updated in Account Details.
New Accounts
Because the use of this field is entirely optional, you are not required to set it when an account is created. However, we recommend that you update your integration to include it on the Account APIs (create, update, and read) anyway.
Your partition has been assigned a default setting, most likely Residential. When a new account is created, if the Regulatory Type is not specified on the API call, the partition default is used. If a value is specified, the new account is given that value. To change your partition default setting, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
